Dear Launch Families—
As I am sure many of you are aware, Seattle Public Schools announced within the last hour that they will be CLOSED this Friday, November 12th due to inadequate staffing.
At this time, Launch PRESCHOOL programs will operate as normal.
However, our school-age programs are typically staffed by part-time employees who often have other jobs, commitments, or school during the morning hours. Receiving this communication on such short notice severely impacts Launch’s ability to offer full-day programs. At this time Launch is able to offer our NORMAL hours (2:00-6:00) for currently enrolled students.
We are asking the following from families:
- Please let us know by End of Day TODAY if you plan on bringing your student(s) on Friday
- If we have significantly low enrollment at a specific school, we may offer your child care at another geographically close Launch location, space/staffing permitting
We understand how impactful this is for our school-age families, and we appreciate your patience as we quickly pivot our programs.
Please let your site manager know ASAP if you plan on attending this Friday.
