We are thrilled to share the University of Washington College of Education has selected Launch as the early learning provider and official UW partner for the Rainier Valley Early Learning Campus (RVELC)!
This partnership marks a truly transformational moment – not only for our organization but for the entire Rainier Valley community. This vibrant and diverse neighborhood has been home to many of Launch’s programs and our administrative offices for years. We are deeply honored to continue serving families here in a meaningful, intentional, and lasting way.
Launch was selected through a thoughtful and highly-competitive process shaped by the voices of early learning professionals, families, and neighborhood leaders. Their input ensured that the provider chosen would align with the RVELC’s values and bold vision for the future of early childhood education.
Co-designed with the Rainier Valley community and set to break ground in Fall 2026, the RVELC will expand access to culturally responsive, anti-racist early learning and care. It will serve as both a national model for community–university–government partnerships and a flagship resource and workforce hub for current educators and UW students pursuing careers in early childhood education.
This collaboration will also open new doors for our educators to grow their skills and careers – ensuring the children and families we serve continue to receive the highest-quality care and learning.
Together with UW, we look forward to creating a state-of-the-art early learning campus that will foster equity, innovation, and excellence in early education – right in the heart of Rainier Valley.
Thank you for being a part of the Launch community. We can’t wait to share more as this exciting initiative unfolds!
