On Tuesday, March 13th, 200 guests joined us at the Seattle Westin for Lunch for Launch. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Your generosity helped us raise over $56,000 to support our work!
Our wonderful sponsors Pioneer Human Services, Port Blakely, Perkins Coie LLP, School’s Out Washington, and Savage Color helped make this event possible. Thank you for your commitment to making our community a better place for everyone.
We had a great event including an inspiring keynote address from Paola Maranan from Children’s Alliance. The key quote from her speech: “All children are our children, and all our children will play a role in our future. By using the power of transformative love to build equity-focused policies and systems, we can create a better future for them — and for the country’s prosperity.”
Co-emcees Ezra and Angel were a great pair. Ezra, a current Launch 3rd grader, told us his favorite things about going to Launch. And Launch Program Director Angel shared why teaching is so meaningful to her. We also heard from former Launch student Jamaya, who shared her memories of Launch. And our annual tradition of a musical performance from our preschoolers was as adorable as ever!
Thank you to everyone who attended or supported our luncheon! You truly make a difference for our children.
If you missed Lunch for Launch, it’s not too late to join in the fun and make a donation to support our programs! And make sure you check out our luncheon video below:
