Times are changing, but our programs aren’t.
Since 1977, CDSA has worked tirelessly to ensure that all children have access to quality learning programs. We’re excited to announce that CDSA is entering a new era with a new name, updated mission and values, and of course, a new website!
Going forward, CDSA will be Launch. Launch will still have the same wonderful and dedicated teachers, the same curriculum, the same schedule, the same quality programs, and the same great experience.
Our updated mission is:
Lead the charge to brilliant outcomes for the children of our community by ensuring equitable access to the highest quality learning and care.
So why are we making this change?
- We’re approaching our 40th anniversary and wanted to take the time to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we want to go in the future. We want to build on what’s working well and use that as a foundation for the next 40 years.
- CDSA is well-known by people who work in our field – educators and policymakers – but we’re largely unknown to the broader public, despite being one of the leading nonprofit providers of preschool and before & after school programming in our area.
- We’ve heard for a long time that people are confused by our name and what it means. We spend a lot of time telling people what we’re not, rather than what we are.
- We want to position our agency for growth and expansion – to bring quality programs to even more families and communities who need them. We want to be able to easily appeal to potential families and partners, and of course, the donors and funders who make our work possible.
