Dear Launch Friends,
Lunch for Launch is always one of the highlights of our year. We really value the opportunity to come together with our community to support our kids and families. However, in light of the current outbreak of COVID-19 in our region, we’ve decided to postpone this year’s Lunch for Launch, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 26th.
We do not make this decision lightly, because Lunch for Launch accounts for over half of our annual fundraising revenue. However, given the recommendation of Seattle-King County Public Health to avoid large public gatherings, we believe we have a responsibility to the community to postpone this event. Safety is one of our core values, and the health and well-being of our students, staff, supporters, and community are our top priority.
We’ll share more information in the next week about our plans for rescheduling this event. We hope that you’ll still plan to join us in this work by supporting Lunch for Launch in the future.
